The Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau of Philippine Standards (DTI-BPS) approves the latest version of the Philippine National Standard (PNS) 05:2019 Road vehicles – Code of practice for the use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) system in international combustion engine.

The PNS 05:2019 was prepared and recommended by the Department of Energy – Energy Utilization Management Bureau through the Inter-Agency Automotive LPG Technical Working Group (TWG). PNS 05:2019 provides the rules and requirements for the design, construction, installation, operation and maintenance of equipment use either wholly or in part for the LPG internal combustion engines.

BPS/TC 44 is composed of representatives from the Coalition of Clean Air Advocates of the Philippines, Philippine Parts Maker Association, University of the Philippines Diliman - National Center for Transportation Studies, Don Bosco Technical College, Coalition of Clean Air Advocates of the Philippines, Automobile Association of the Philippines, Automotive Body Manufacturers Association of the Philippines, Eclimo Electric Management Inc., Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc., Truck Manufacturers Association, Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc., Metals Industry Research and Development Center, Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development, Department of Energy - Energy Utilization and Management Bureau, Board of Investments, and Persons with Disability Sector – National Anti-Poverty Commission.
